For those who want to go to Bangkok and are Muslim, if they are visiting the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun can also visit the Ton son Mosque, the mosque is not far from Wat Arun, around 200m, walking for about 10 minutes.

I accidentally went to Wat Arun from morning, take a photo, then to The Ton son Mosque, this is at the same time the midnight prayer and a short break. The mosque is large, the toilet is clean and here drinking water is provided, cold too, can refill drinking bottles. Outside the mosque there is a kind of food seller and InsyaAllah halal.

O yeah... for those of you who want to pray at The Tonson Mosque, don't worry if you don't bring a sarong, there is a sarong with a cap.  The mosque is cool because it uses air conditioning.

Bang Luang Mosque

The name is Bang Luang Mosque. At first glance it looks like Wat or Thai Buddhist temples with very Thai architecture but actuall this is a mosque building.

It was built in 1784, and is one of the oldest mosques in Bangkok. It is located across the canal from The Tonson Mosque, which is also called the oldest mosque in Bangkok. It's just that, the historic mosque which was built several years after The Ton son Mosque is still in its original form compared to The Restored Tonson Mosque. The building of this mosque is arguably quite magnificent for the construction of the late 18th century, the floors are of marble.

If you want to stop by this mosque, it's actually not difficult, even though there are no instructions in English at all. From Wat Arun, towards the road, go left towards Wat Kanlayanamitr. Found a bridge that crossed the canal. Under the bridge, there is the Ton son Mosque. On the other side of the bridge is an alley with the white gate, just enter about 100 meters in to find this mosque. Unfortunately, it seems to only open at prayer time. Because when I went there yesterday, I entered Dzuhur time, after praying in congregation, the mosque was closed and locked again, even though I still wanted to enjoy the comfortable cool atmospere in it.

Please enjoy the only mosque with Thai architecture in the past (he said so, yes, some even say the only one in the world).

One word to describe this place = paradise!! 3 nights just isn’t enough!  It is a bush camp with 4wd access only; the sand is very soft and thick so be sure to let your tyres down. You have to be fully self sufficient as there is no power, water or amenities. There is phone service on the beach and a little corner store in Elliot Heads approx 40mins away if needed. The kids had a ball! Hot tip if you do take kids along, take some swing accessories (got ours from Bunnings) as there are plenty of perfect trees to hang them from!  We could be as noisy as we wanted as each camp
